Americans are often misled into believing that our children are being fed healthy food in schools. The reality is far from this ideal. The food served to our children is processed, reheated, and often of lower quality than what is served in prisons. It is shipped in packaging that creates unnecessary waste, which is often improperly disposed of.
The images you see here are real pictures of school lunches and cafeterias in Washington State. As parents, we should be outraged by this. We should demand better for our children, who are the ones we are leaving our legacy to. They are the future stewards of this earth, and it is our responsibility to provide them with a nourishing environment, not a depleted battlefield drained of all nutrients and minerals.
We have the power to set them up for success and leave them an oasis of health and well-being. Why did we start families and have children if not to ensure their maximum happiness and to enrich our own lives? Our children are precious gifts from God, deserving of love, respect, and proper nourishment.
